About Catchphrase Communications
From founder Jennifer Bondurant …
After completing my Master’s degree in English (creative writing) at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I was left with a desire to tell stories and a need to find a job with a consistent paycheck. After working in marketing for Central Bancompany in Jefferson City, I struck out on my own.
Shortly thereafter, a freelance writing assignment for Show-Me Missouri magazine landed me at Spa Shiki at the Lodge of Four Seasons, one of the largest resort spas in the Midwest at one of the Lake of the Ozarks’ most memorable family resorts. That writing assignment at Spa Shiki led to a marketing/public relations contract with the spa, and I’ve been delighted to call the spa a client ever since.
My experiences in freelance journalism, editing, informational design, marketing and public relations come together in my company, CatchPhrase Communications. On large and small jobs alike, I strive to help my clients maximize their communication efforts with their target audiences.
What I believe …
Every word counts, and when you are choosing what words to use, the difference can be as great as the difference between “yes” and “no.”
The overall objective remains the same for every task: To effectively get the point across to the target audience, finding the “catchphrase” that promotes comprehension and motivation to action.
Good marketing is not just about crafting a great message. You have to choose the right words for the right audience, and send at the right time, through the right medium.
Professionalism, dependability and follow-through are keys to successes in any industry. They are paramount to establishing long-term relationships.
